James A. McGregor, MDCM is a visiting professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. In 1966, he graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., and completed his medical training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1970. In 1971, McGregor completed his internship at Harbor General Hospital in Torrance, Calif. He finished his residency at the University of California, Los Angeles and LAC+USC Women's and Children's Hospital from 1972 to 1975. He continued his training as a fellow in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine in Denver from 1978 to 1981. McGregor has a special interest in infectious diseases and optimizing each child’s potential capacity for learning. In 2004, he joined the University of Southern California, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. McGregor has a particular interest and a series of publications on pregnancy and nutrition and is the convenor of the Society of Fetal Maternal Medicine's Nutrition Special Interest Group.
